LuffSleep — Bamboo-made bedding & pillows.
We make luxury bamboo pillows and bedding. Imagine you have Chanel, PETA (the vegan organisation), and you have Tesla, they have a baby, that baby is this pillow. That's my company. So it's a combination of design-led comfort and quality, really high end, taking the sustainability and the environmental benefits, but also really being really high tech as well.
I’d started out selling my products into retailers but I knew going direct to consumer could be huge. I was looking for someone with this kind of experience to help me build a d2c strategy and expand the business
My Oneday mentor is Steph, and she's incredible. Just incredibly amiable, knowledgeable, brilliant contacts, willing to give everything to help out. She's enthusiastic and will be a big cheerleader. She even helps with some personal elements, as well as the business side of things, because especially when you're a business owner, your work usually is your life anyway.
Working closely with Steph, we’ve launched a new website and started running d2c campaigns. We’ve secured new contracts with TK Maxx & Wayfair and we’re currently validating new product lines, so watch this space! I’ve even hired a fellow Oneday member to help us grow faster!

I had an idea and I wanted to make a transition from my marketing job to launching my own business
The Oneday community has been life-changing. I had a great with my mentor James. Not only has his advice been extremely impactful for my business, but he actually helped me close a pre-seed funding round! I truly learned more from him than I did from any university course or lecture
We hit 7,000 beta users, then raised a £550k pre-seed investment

I’d been struggling with a business idea for 2 years and felt stuck. I joined Dorm to find a mentor who could help me progress
Can't believe how much I've learnt about product & sales from practically doing it! In 4 months with my mentor Ranbir, we ideated, launched & achieved paying clients for my startup
Within 4 months we’d hit £5k monthly recurring revenue. Since then I’ve hired a team and we’re even working with unicorn tech clients

Head Shed - Mental health app for men
My business idea is a men's wellness app. It's called Head Shed. It's the toolkit for men's minds - mental health tools for men who otherwise feel excluded from that space. I got into meditation, breath work and mind reprogramming, but then when I talked to my mates about it down the pub, they stonewalled me. I realised, okay, well, there's a market there that hasn't been tapped.
I had an idea, and I thought was a pretty good idea, but I didn't really know what to do with it, because my background is in television production, not tech or apps.I didn't know what my roadmap was to turning it into reality.
My one day mentor is Steph. Right from the start what I liked about her was she was really enthusiastic, supportive and encouraging. The mentorship with Oneday is great. The framework is really good, the dashboard etc, and easy to follow for beginners, which I am in the space. There's a clear process to follow, but ultimately, I just think that for most of us on that Oneday journey. If we weren't part of it, then certainly our ideas have a far less chance of ever coming to fruition. That's what I value most. It's turning dreams into reality.
In just a few short months we've built the MVP, got an advisory team in place, and confirmed global talent. We've pitched ideas to Netflix and Amazon and done some work with academics. We have letters of intent from a couple of businesses and now we're about to start fund raising.

Hobi - A marketplace for hobbies
I'm building a business called Hobi. It's basically an online marketplace for hobbies, I decided upon the idea because I have quite a lot of niche hobbies, and there isn't one platform that helps me find classes. I do circus skills, climbing, jewellery making, all sorts of things like this. I recently moved and it's taken me over six months to find all of these new classes again, so I basically want to create a platform that helps put them all in one place.
I was actually taking a career break, I'd been off travelling and when I got back I stumbled across Oneday. I decided to work part time and start with Oneday. I think it can feel really daunting, starting up an idea on your own, and even talking to your friends and family about it. You tell them "Oh, I'm working on a business idea", and they're like, "what do you actually do?
My Oneday mentor is Juan, and I think the way he really helps me is by forcing the pace. I think I've really struggled with committing time to my ideas in the past, and having someone, every week, who checks in on me and makes sure I'm actually doing what I should be doing really helps.
I'm just getting started! I think the biggest thing for me about starting my business is trying to leave fear behind. I think fear has always held me back in the past. And it's actually weirdly something I've worked on a lot recently in all aspects of my life, I think now I see building my business as enjoyment in the journey rather than the destination. It's been such a huge change for me. Now I'm always telling everyone to lean into their fears, and that that's basically where you'll find your happiness.

Vineleaf - Leading AI enhancement of GP operations and healthcare
Vineleaf aims to revolutionize the patients' appointment and aftercare by using artificial intelligence to increase operational efficiency within general practice services. The solution will effectively analyse, predict patient outcome and select those at risk of adverse outcome, without ignoring the traditional risk factors such as readmission and admission, diagnosis, age, comorbidities, social factors, polypharmacy, among others.
For months, I was in search of answers to a lot of business questions and I needed a guide on how to build a startup. I read a lot of books and articles but all were personal experiences which were not applicable in my instance. One day, I came across Oneday advert on Instagram, then I swiftly signed up for the short meeting which led to a trial. My intention was to give Oneday two months trial to see what they could offer me. Lo and behold, I got more than I need.
My experience with Oneday has been mind blowing. In the first two weeks, I was allocated to a top-rated founder and got cracking on re-defining the problem. After a few iterations of the solution, we ran several experiments to validate some assumptions. Now, we have validated and developed the minimum viable product (MVP). Beyond the achievements, I have built new relationships with my mentor, several founders with different brilliant ideas.
We have had a lot of interest globally from GPs. It’s been great and encouraging to hear their feedback and to see that they want to work with Vineleaf.

Mix & Grab- Online marketplace for ethnic stores
I noticed a gap in the market for our local ethnic grocery stores online. The current development and requirement of the market depend heavily on services. Our local stores provide amazing products but only through walk-ins. So, I started looking into the reasons why. One of the many reasons is that they do not have the time or the skills to create a website and offer delivery. They have a lot of walking-in customers, and they choose to focus on that and avoid the risk that accompanies exploring other means of sale.
Oneday came at a time when I was wondering when & how I am going to start this project. So far it has been a clear thorough guide, showing every step I need to make.
So far, Oneday has been a clear thorough guide, showing every step I need to make. Having a great coach and a group of founders who share the struggle with me has helped me stay motivated and carry on.
I would say my biggest win was starting mix and grab and seeing the landing page live and when looking into the analytics which shows some of the searches are around what I am building is a win at this stage.
